Nowadays photography is all about better and more expensive equipment. Getting a good camera and then all the other necessary stuff like lenses, tripods etc will give you satisfactory results and uplift you in this field because you start taking better quality images.
But buying all the necessary stuff like the camera itself has to be so wisely chosen in order to make use of; for beginners, some cheap cameras might do the job, giving expensive gears will mean giving a gorilla a gun. So, let us just talk about the cameras only; Good cameras mean good quality photos. That's why almost all of the photographers in the world are using DSLR cameras. But now a new type of camera has been introduced by SONY; the mirrorless camera.

Mirrorless Cameras

Of course, as its names say; mirror-less, it does not have any mirror system unlike that of a DSLR, in which a mirror sits at 45-degree angle in front of the image sensor. This angle allows light coming through the lens to be reflected up into the optical viewfinder and then while taking a photo, this mirror goes up, allowing the light to directly hit the sensor after the shutter has been opened. And now you know why the camera creates a sound when we push the shutter button. But in the case of the Mirrorless cameras, as they do not have any mirrors, so this means there will be no optical viewfinder but a digital viewfinder and the sensor will be alive for more time than that in a DSLR.

Before You Choose

Before you decide which one you are going to buy just go through these most important points that might help you make a decision or change your already made decision.
1-Mirrorless cameras are smaller and lighter due to the absence of the mirror. This makes them easy to carry around and can easily fit into medium sized purses when the lens is not attached.
2-Smaller body may be easy to carry around but the smaller body will also mean a smaller battery. Hence, there will be less battery time.
3-No mirror will make no sense for a camera having an optical viewfinder. That's why mirrorless cameras have the digital viewfinder which will consume more power from the already smaller battery.
4-Mirrorless cameras are not cheap from the DSLR. Perhaps, they are expensive than the DSLR's.
5-Having no mirror will make no extra noise while taking a picture. Thus mirrorless cameras are silent.

So, mirrorless cameras are not a bad choice and in fact, they can be very useful for their size and silence. Most of the photographers are now using these mirrorless cameras for their convenience in using them. So, what is your choice???
